Queens Congregations United
for Action (QCUA) is a faith-based community organization that was founded
by clergy and lay leaders in northwestern Queens to address some of the
many struggles our communities face, such as affordable housing, education,
health care, public safety, and immigration. QCUA leaders believe
that the best way to successfully address these issues is to utilize all
our resources together to effect change for the multi-cultural and
immigrant communities that we live in.
QCUA is training leaders in the community
to uncover issues, research causes and solutions, and to take direct action
to resolve them. QCUA empowers residents of the community and makes
it possible for people of color, immigrants, and residents from all ethnic
and racial backgrounds to secure a better place in the city. QCUA is
an affiliate of the PICO National
Network.
